Illinois Railway Museum July 18, 2009, part 1 Diesel Days
A day at the Illinois Railway Museum In Union, Illinois, which was also diesel days there. In this video you’ll see diesel action such as the Burlington switcher and the Wisconsin Central SD45. Plus a visit to the steam barn. You’ll see the CNW heritage unit (UP 1995) with the two remaining unpatched Chicago and North western units #8646 and 8701.

Diesel Days 2009 action at the IRM.
After the two trains make their way over the crossing, the IRM’s motive power gets ready for the “diesel parade” by making their way down to the begining of the line.

CB&Q 9255 Moving Dover Strait Car at Illinois Railway Museum
IRM Saturday, August 11, 2007. Dover Strait car pulled out of Barn 3 by CB&Q 9255 switch engine in preparation to apply primer coat to exterior. Work being done at the Illinois Railway Museum near Union, IL.

Head-end ride aboard Chicago Transit Authority PCC “L” car #41 at the Illinois Railway Museum on May 26th, 2008. This trip operates from the East Union depot to Kishwaukee Grove, as far as IRM’s trackage goes.

Milwaukee Road Historical ociation at Illinois Rwy Museum
2007 MRHA Convention gathered at Illinois Railway Museum, Union, IL to symbolically dedicate a barn for the exclusive use of Milwaukee Road equipment.

Chicago South Shore & South Bend 34 – Illinois Railway Museum
South Shore Line 34, one of IRM’s sextet of 1920’s-era interurban coaches from the railroad, is shoved down the streetcar line by a diesel during a switch move in June 2009. This car is operational.
