How much is a house in Brooklyn?
I am Brazilian and I’m wanting to buy I a house in New York. I’d want to know how much is a house there? I think is cheaper than a house in Manhattan so a prefer in Brooklyn. Thank you.
Brooklyn is cheaper than Manhattan but it’s still expensive! "Houses" in the nicer areas can run in the millions and beyond.
Search this site but just remember some of the prices are for apartments, not single family homes:

Consider Queens if you just want a regular one family home with a small yard, but be sure and do your research!
Are there any actual boarding houses in Manhattan or Brooklyn?
Does anyone know if many actual boarding houses (of good enough quality) exist in Manhattan or Brooklyn?
That term isn’t used much anymore. It meant that you had a room, plus meals.
You can find some Bread and Breakfasts, some Single Room Occupancies (SRO), and some hostels–the closest modern equivalent. And yes, there are some people who rent out rooms in their houses, which is legal if you have the correct permits, but they don’t usually include food (although they may include a small kitchen).
What’s the best way to get to Peter Luger’s Steak house in Brooklyn from Manhattan?
BY SUBWAY: Take F Train downtown to Delancey Street [if you are coming from the north, i.e. Midtown Manhattan]. Go upstairs and transfer to the J, M, Z Train over the Williamsburg Bridge to Marcy Avenue (First stop over the bridge). Walk on Broadway towards the East River to Peter Luger at 178 Broadway.
Where is a good area to buy a house in NJ which has good schools and not long commute to Manhattan.?
There are quite a few suburbs you could choose. Chatham, Verona, Oceanport, Lincoln park are all nice places that meet your criteria I believe.
If you want to learn more, I would recommend getting a real estate agent in the area. As a buyer, their services are often free (or better) for you and they are a really good insurance policy to make sure you don’t mess up what is likely one of the biggest financial transactions of your life.
You can find good agents for most places in the US and have them compete for you at seekingagents.com.
If you were to actually but a real house in Manhattan, New York how much would it be?
People do buy houses in NYC all the time. I live in a house, my husband and I own it.
It depends on where the house is. In my neighborhood, houses range from 1 million to about 4 million. (I bought mine a long time ago, and it was a fixer upper even then. So no, I didn’t spend anywhere near that much!)
In other neighborhoods there are houses that cost less, but in most desireable neighborhoods you’re looking at close to a million dollars at least.
I live in Brooklyn, in a desireable neighborhood. In Manhattan, of course, you couldn’t find a house for a million dollars. Houses cost several millon in Manhattan.
EDIT: Yes, when I say "house" I mean a row house. That’s the housing stock in NYC in most parts (Though you can find more traditional housing in some parts of Brooklyn and Queens, and certainly in most of Staten Island.)
But my house is not "multi-family". Most of the buildings in my neighborhood are single family, or two family houses. The two families are basically a one family with a small rental at the bottom or top. They are family houses, not apartment buildings. The rental unit makes the house more affordable. I do not have a rental unit in my house, but most people who have one rental in the building use the rent to help pay the mortgage.
how much to rent a 3 bedroom house in manhattan beach, ca?
For how long? Vacation Rental? Long term lease?
It all depends on how close to the beach you want it, as well.
I found a 3 BR vacation rental that rents between 2000-3000 per week, depending on season.
You can lease a 3 BR house that’s a few blocks from the beach for $2650, with a minimum 1 year lease.
Where, in NYC is there a moonwalk (bounce house), preferably Manhattan?
My 5 year old (autistic) son loves to bounce, and he will be coming to visit me tomorrow, so I thought he would get a kick out a few sessions on a moonwalk, bouncehouse etc. I am in Manhattan, and I don’t want a major excursion, just a little bit of fun for an hour or so. Is there any place that has one.
One other wrinkle…..he is on a gluten/dairy/soy free diet, so don’t suggest Chuck e Cheese or anything like that….trying to keep him on the diet and don’t want to tempt fate!
there is a science museum up on 130-140 if you take the BC train i think it is 137th street station
